Fairport, N.Y. - Bosch Security Systems, Inc., a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security solutions, announced today new functionality for the LTC 8600, 8800, and 8900 Series Allegiant Video Switcher/Control Systems that is designed to improve management of large video surveillance systems.
Customers operating systems in facilities with multiple sites or floors can now add a two-digit identifier - signifying a building or area - to each camera number controlled by the Allegiant. This site identifier helps customers more quickly find and select appropriate cameras in areas of interest when a possible security risk is identified.
The Allegiant Systems enable display of video from any connected camera at the operator's monitor and can scale to support upwards of 6,000 cameras. The new feature is especially useful for customers managing large video systems at sites such as commercial airports, casinos, correctional facilities, and government locations.
Bosch continually updates the Allegiant Systems to meet customers' evolving security needs. Through regular firmware releases, customers can upgrade their installed systems to gain new functionality, protecting their previous equipment investments. This capability is important as the Allegiant Systems are built to last - operating consistently for up to 15 years in many locations.
