Apr. 2, 2008 - Bosch Showcases Innovation in IP Systems at ISC West 2008

LAS VEGAS – Bosch Security Systems, Inc., a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security solutions, will demonstrate the innovation built into its IP products to attendees of ISC West 2008. The embedded technology in Bosch IP systems enables the products to make independent decisions before sharing information with an operator or other devices on the network.

ISC West attendees can experience the advanced technology in Bosch CCTV cameras by taking part in an IP camera challenge at the company’s booth. Participants will be tasked with stealing an object from a staged scene under video surveillance by Bosch cameras featuring embedded Intelligent Video Analysis capabilities. When the cameras recognize the item has been removed from the scene, they will generate an alarm to notify the person monitoring the area.

By embedding Intelligent Video Analysis capabilities in IP cameras and encoders, Bosch enables customers to push video content analysis (VCA) to the edge. This system design eliminates the need for costly servers to run analytics software, equipment that is required for many competitors’ products. As a result, Bosch’s solution is more cost-effective and easier to manage for the end user.

Emphasizing the breadth of the company’s portfolio, Bosch will also demonstrate IP innovation in intrusion and fire detection as well as in integrated security and building automation systems at the annual security industry conference and exposition. On display in the booth, Bosch Conettix Information Transport Solutions allow virtually any security or fire panel to communicate over IP networks, and Bosch’s Building Integration System consolidates the control of disparate IP-based security and facility management functions into one platform to simplify the end user’s experience and automate tasks.
