Miami: the very word makes you think of glamour and opulence – a tropical paradise bursting with the flavors, sights and sounds of a thriving international metropolis. According to the 2000 U.S. census figures, about 2.2 million people now live in the Miami-Dade County area and the population continues to grow dramatically.
“Bosch makes great quality security systems and components – they stand up to constant use very well and the warranty and customer service are excellent,” commented Schwartz. “The architects, designers and developers we work with demand quality and understand the value they get with Bosch.”
Opportunities abound
Where some might look at Miami and see high density population, traffic congestion and overcrowded restaurants, others see opportunity. Steven Schwartz, Global Security Products (GSP), is one of the latter. Schwartz established the security dealership and consulting business four years ago, after many years in other areas of the security industry. The company specializes in complex security projects for commercial, industrial and governmental agencies, both foreign and domestic.
Global Security Products, Inc. is a leader in sophisticated integrated video surveillance systems (CCTV), access control and networked security systems. Not surprisingly, Global Security prefers products from the security industry leader: Bosch Security Systems.
Demanding the very best
With 2.2 million people in a relatively small area, high profile, security sensitive celebrities and publicity-shy millionaires maintain residences in Miami and feel the need for personal protection for themselves, their families and homes. GSP designs, installs and manages state-of-the-art Bosch security systems in such exclusive residential and mixed-use commercial properties as the new Trump Palace luxury residential condominiums opening in 2005, Trump Grande Ocean Resort and Residences, Coral Gables’ select Deering Bay condominiums, automobile dealerships and the National Palace of Haiti, among others. The company begins work on a 154-bay automotive repair megacenter shortly and is just completing security installations at the twin 45-story towers of One Miami on Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami for The Related Group.
“Bosch makes great quality security systems and components – they stand up to constant use very well and the warranty and customer service are excellent,” commented Schwartz. “The architects, designers and developers we work with demand quality and understand the value they get with Bosch.”
Obsession with detail
For example, the new Trump Palace, a 55 story luxury residential condominiums designed and co-developed by Donald Trump, Michael and Gil Dezer, is fully equipped with Bosch security systems including FlexiDome® interior and EnviroDome Outdoor® cameras, Divar Digital Versatile Recorders, networked monitoring and alarms throughout the building.
“This is one of Trump’s first projects in Florida and we are excited to be working with them. The developers immediately doubled the number of surveillance cameras shown in the original specifications.” Schwartz continued. “They are concerned about every detail on this project and they insist on the very best. We have trained security personnel watching all corridors, entrances, shops, garage, pools, grounds and the 11-acre property’s perimeter 24/7 so residents and their guests are in the safest environment possible at all times.”
Securing it all
Of course, not every project in Miami has the Trump name on it but security is critical for residential and commercial buildings, especially those dealing in high ticket products such as automobiles. “We provide extra value for our customers with central station monitoring over the Internet,” Schwartz explained. “We can log into any security zone and, if necessary, carry on a two-way conversation with someone on the dealership property after hours. We instruct them to leave and, if necessary, we can dispatch the police.
Global Security Products has worked with Kendall Toyota, South Miami; Lexus of Kendall; a Kia dealership and is about to begin the installation of a closed circuit television surveillance system (CCTV) and access control system for a 154-bay automotive repair center. “The systems and components are easy for customers to learn and use,” Schwartz pointed out. “And that makes it better for everyone.”
Schwartz’s company has grown from just him to nine people over the past four years and now provides on-going central station monitoring services for about 100 high-value clients, averaging about 200-300 calls of all types each month. Personally, Steven is a Florida licensed Certified Alarm Contractor. He also has his Certified Protection Professional designation from ASIS, an international organization for security professionals.
“We know we can rely on Bosch solutions to deliver great value for our clients.” — Schwartz concluded.
